Kernel memory disclosure via unterminated counter table
Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Linux kernel 6.2 through 6.4.6 allows local users to disclose kernel memory through i915 performance monitoring. The xehp_oa_b_counters range table lacks the empty sentinel expected by reg_in_range_table, so address validation reads beyond the array. Triggering the path requires local low-privileged access to i915 performance monitoring on compatible Intel graphics hardware, with disclosure bounded to adjacent kernel memory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
