Local service interruption via leaked page references
Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025
Memory leak in the QAIC accelerator driver in Linux kernel 6.4 allows local users to exhaust memory through partial user-page mappings. map_user_pages() returns after get_user_pages_fast() pins fewer pages than requested without releasing the pages already pinned. Access to a compatible QAIC accelerator is required, and repeated failures retain page references until memory pressure interrupts host workloads.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
