CVE-2023-5360Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated arbitrary PHP upload

Published Oct 31, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Arbitrary file upload in WP Royal Royal Addons for Elementor through 1.3.78 allows remote attackers to execute code via AJAX. The handle_file_upload() function trusts an attacker-supplied allowed_file_types extension containing a special character, bypassing file-type filtering and writing PHP files to the forms directory. No authentication is required, and successful uploads can install backdoors and fully compromise the WordPress site.
