Local service interruption via MCA bank mask overflow

Integer overflow in the Linux kernel's AMD machine-check setup allows local users to interrupt service when MCA bank initialization reaches bank 32. The amd.c initialization code stores a mask for as many as 64 banks in a 32-bit unsigned int and shifts a 32-bit BIT value by the bank number, producing an out-of-bounds shift at 32 or above. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access on an x86 AMD system exposing at least 33 MCA banks, and the documented impact is limited to availability.
