Kernel compromise via freed packet-buffer dereference

Use-after-free in Linux kernel 2.6.31 through pre-fix branch releases allows adjacent attackers to compromise the kernel. fwnet_finish_incoming_packet() calls netif_rx(), which transfers or frees the packet buffer, and then reads skb->len through the stale pointer. Reachability requires an active firewire-net interface and an attacker-controlled peer on the shared IEEE 1394 bus; exploitation can expose or alter kernel memory or crash the host.
