Unauthenticated gadget-chain execution via cart AJAX deserialization
Published Nov 20, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
PHP object injection in Five Star Restaurant Menu and Food Ordering before 2.4.11 allows remote attackers to invoke available gadget chains. The unauthenticated fdm_update_cart_item AJAX handler passes its attacker-controlled options parameter to PHP unserialization. Exploitation requires a suitable gadget class already loaded on the WordPress site and can execute only behavior exposed by that chain.
