Kernel memory corruption via undersized driver bitmaps

Out-of-bounds access in the Linux kernel mpi3mr SCSI driver allows local users to disclose or corrupt kernel memory through local I/O. The driver allocates chain, event-acknowledgment, device-removal, and removal-pending bitmaps in bytes, but bitmap helpers operate in unsigned-long units and access past those allocations. Exploitation requires a system with the Broadcom mpi3mr PCI HBA and access to its block device or filesystem; the resulting read and read-modify-write primitives can expose heap data, corrupt adjacent state, or crash the host.
