Service interruption via unreleased firmware memory mapping
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Resource leak in the Linux kernel Stratix10 service driver allows local users to consume memory during supported-device probing. svc_create_memory_pool() maps reserved shared memory with memremap() but has no matching memunmap(), leaving the mapping outside managed probe cleanup. Reachability requires the service driver and supported Stratix10 or Agilex SoC hardware; accumulated mappings can deplete memory and interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
