Service interruption via leaked ACPI location data

Memory leak in the Linux kernel driver core allows local users to interrupt service by exhausting memory during device registration. In dev_add_physical_location(), a failed allocation for dev->physical_location returns without releasing the previously allocated ACPI PLD structure. Reachability requires an ACPI-backed device and the allocation-failure path; each failure loses kernel memory and sustained resource pressure can interrupt service.
