Service interruption via SCSI module reload race

Race condition in the Linux kernel SCSI core allows local users to interrupt service by concurrently unloading and reloading a module. The SCSI removal path defers scsi_proc_hostdir_rm(), so a reload can call proc_mkdir() while the prior /proc/scsi directory remains registered. Triggering requires CAP_SYS_MODULE in the initial user namespace, and the published trace demonstrates a duplicate-registration warning rather than code execution.
