Incorrect intermediate value via integer overflow

Integer overflow in Linux kernel 3.7 through 6.1.6 allows local users to produce an incorrect intermediate value in ipset. In bitmap_ip_create(), 2 is shifted before either operand is widened when first_ip is 0, last_ip is 0xFFFFFFFF, and netmask is 31, so the arithmetic overflows. The path requires local low-privileged access to create the crafted bitmap set; the next validation rejects the value, and the Linux kernel team reports no resulting security impact.
