Kernel memory corruption via unchecked negative index

Improper array-index validation in the VIA HDA codec driver in affected Linux kernel versions allows local users to corrupt kernel memory. The add_secret_dac_path() function treats a negative snd_hda_get_connections() result as an insertion index and writes a codec node before the conn stack array. Low-privileged local access and initialization of an affected VIA HDA codec path are required; the write can corrupt kernel memory or crash the system.
