Unauthenticated arbitrary password change
Published Sep 29, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Weak password recovery in Xinhu RockOA 1.1, 2.3.2, and 15.X3amdi allows remote attackers to change arbitrary user passwords via HTTP. The api.php?m=reimplat&a=index Password Handler accepts an editpass payload naming a username and replacement password without proving control of that account. No login or user interaction is required, so successful requests can take over targeted accounts while primarily affecting authentication integrity.
