CVE-2023-52947

Client-session interruption via unauthenticated logout

Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Missing authentication in the logout function of Synology Active Backup for Business Agent before 2.7.0-3221 allows local users to log out the client. Synology identifies the logout functionality as lacking authentication but has not disclosed the request path, function, or operation that accepts the unspecified local input. Any local user can end the client's signed-in session without interaction; backup operations continue, so the consequence is limited to client-session interruption.
