Local denial of service via multishot poll reissue
Published Aug 21, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Resource leak in io_uring polling in Linux kernel 6.1.7 allows local users to exhaust kernel memory through a multishot request race. io_uring/poll.c reissues an already armed multishot request after a spurious wakeup and loses a ring-provided buffer. Reachability requires a low-privileged local process to submit multishot polling with provided buffers and win the poll race; repeated leaks interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
