Kernel memory corruption via unchecked JFS tree index

Out-of-bounds access in Linux JFS allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through operations on a writable mounted JFS volume. The dbFindLeaf function indexes tp->dm_stree without first bounding the index for the dmtree type while searching for free blocks. An unprivileged user with write access to a mounted JFS volume can drive the invalid walk through ordinary file creation, causing memory disclosure, metadata corruption, or a kernel crash.
