Remote application-data corruption via crossed SMC declines

Data corruption in Linux kernel SMC-R allows remote attackers to corrupt fallback TCP application data during connection setup. When an LLC confirmation times out, client and server DECLINE messages cross because both sides use overlapping timeouts, and TCP fallback reads a late SMC protocol message as application bytes. Reachability requires SMC-R negotiation and a failed LLC confirmation in the narrow timeout sequence; the bounded consequence is corruption of data delivered to an application.
