Kernel state corruption via shared overflow stack

Race condition in RISC-V VMAP_STACK handling in Linux 4.15 through 6.5.12 and 6.6 through 6.6.2 allows local users to corrupt kernel state. The overflow handler temporarily places concurrent CPUs on one non-per-CPU shadow_stack, allowing one CPU's exception handling to overwrite another CPU's registers and stack frames. Exploitation requires RISC-V, CONFIG_VMAP_STACK, concurrent kernel-stack overflows, and low-privileged local access; the resulting corruption can panic or hang the host.
