Improper input validation in all versions of Mitsubishi Electric GX Works2 allows local users to interrupt simulation with crafted packets. The simulation function inadequately validates packets generated on the host and enters a denial-of-service state when it processes malformed input. The sender needs low-privileged access to the same personal computer; the reported consequence is interruption of simulation, not data disclosure or modification.
