Kernel-memory disclosure via speculative policy-array indexing
Published May 21, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Information disclosure in affected Linux 5.10 through 6.1 builds allows local users to infer kernel-memory contents through XFRM. xfrm_xlate32_attr() bounds-checks an attribute type but then uses it to index compat_policy without constraining speculative execution. A local low-privileged user who supplies a crafted XFRM attribute can trigger this Spectre v1 gadget, causing indirect kernel-memory disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
