CVE-2023-5274

Simulation interruption via malformed local packets

Published Nov 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2026

Improper input validation in the simulation function of Mitsubishi Electric GX Works2 all versions allows local users to interrupt simulation. The function accepts specially crafted local packets without adequate validation and enters a denial-of-service condition. Packets must originate on the same PC where simulation is running, so the reported consequence is limited to interruption of that function.
