Kernel compromise via unchecked JFS tree index

An out-of-bounds access in JFS on affected Linux kernels allows local users to crash the kernel through a crafted filesystem image. dbAdjTree uses an attacker-controlled leaf-derived lp value to read and write dmt_stree without first ensuring that the index is below CTLTREESIZE. A local session capable of mounting the image and freeing or truncating files can corrupt kernel memory, disclose adjacent memory, or interrupt the system.
