Local service interruption via RCU store tearing

Race condition in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to interrupt service by triggering torn RCU pointer stores. In net/core/neighbour.c, neigh_periodic_work() deletes an RCU-protected neighbor parameter with an ordinary pointer write while readers use rcu_dereference(), permitting store tearing. Local low-privileged access is required, and the published impact is limited to availability rather than data disclosure or modification.
