CVE-2023-5246Network attack vector

Unauthenticated gateway login via replayed packets

Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Jun 1, 2026

Authentication bypass in SICK Flexi Soft gateways of all versions allows remote attackers to log in by replaying crafted packets. The gateway authentication exchange accepts previously captured authentication material in specially crafted network packets instead of requiring a fresh proof. No credentials are required, but user interaction is required; a successful login permits actions that can affect gateway data and operation.
