CVE-2023-52371

Service disruption via motor-module null dereference

Published Feb 18, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024

Null-pointer dereference in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0.0 through 4.0.0 and EMUI 12.0.0 through 13.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to disrupt service. Huawei identifies the motor module but does not disclose the input or code path that leaves a reference null before dereference. Exploitation requires low privileges and adjacent-network access, and the reported consequence is limited to reduced availability.
