Unauthorized file access via network acceleration stack overflow
Published Feb 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 24, 2025
Stack overflow in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0.0, 2.1.0, 3.0.0, 3.1.0, and 4.0.0 and EMUI 12.0.0 and 13.0.0 allows remote attackers to access files. Huawei identifies the network acceleration module and overflow class but has not published the affected function, unsafe operation, or attacker-controlled input. Network reachability without authentication is the published gate; Huawei limits the stated consequence to unauthorized file access and does not specify read or write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
