CVE-2023-52346

System crash via modem driver out-of-bounds read

Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2024

An out-of-bounds read in UNISOC modem drivers on Android 12 through 14 allows local users to crash the system via malformed input. Improper validation allows the modem driver to read beyond a buffer boundary, although UNISOC does not identify the affected function or input field. Local access is required; published privilege and consequence details conflict because the description requires System privileges and mentions disclosure, while UNISOC's vector records no privileges and availability-only impact.
