Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Nov 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Related Products for WooCommerce 3.3.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via the woo-related shortcode. The shortcode handler accepts user-controlled attributes and writes them into page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, and the script runs in the browser of any user who visits the injected page.
