CVE-2023-52334Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unvalidated attachment path

Published Nov 22, 2024 · Updated Nov 25, 2024

Path traversal in Alltena GmbH Allegra before 7.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files through a web action. The downloadAttachmentGlobal action uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that the resolved path remains in the attachment directory. Guest-role access is sufficient, and activated anonymous access makes that role self-obtainable, exposing stored credentials and other readable server files.
