CVE-2023-52312Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via unchecked crop offsets

Published Jan 3, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025

Null pointer dereference in paddle.crop in PaddlePaddle before 2.6.0 allows attackers to crash a consuming process with invalid tensor dimensions. CropInferMeta fails to verify that the offsets vector length equals the input rank before downstream use, so empty offsets for a two-dimensional tensor reach a null pointer dereference. Exploitation requires a consuming application to invoke paddle.crop with crafted tensors; the bounded consequence is a runtime crash and service interruption.
