Database credential disclosure via unauthenticated installer API
Published Dec 31, 2023 · Updated Sep 9, 2024
Credential disclosure in Tencent tdsqlpcloud 1.8.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve database logins through an unauthenticated API. The install.php get_db_info() function retrieves the database IP address, port, and account credentials, then returns them through index.php/api/install/get_db_info without an authorization check. Network access to the web installer endpoint is sufficient; the disclosed credentials expose database access, while no integrity or availability effect is established.
