Unauthenticated customer impersonation via misassigned session tokens
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Authentication bypass in FreeScout End-User Portal before 1.0.65 allows remote attackers to impersonate arbitrary customers via /auth. The magic-link authentication workflow assigns generated session tokens to customers other than the email address that requested the link. No account is required; a matching token opens that customer's support tickets, and an administrator token exposes all tickets.
