Browser script execution via unsanitized email template
Published Dec 30, 2023 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Stored XSS in IDURAR through 2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through a crafted email template. The PATCH /api/email/update endpoint accepts an emailBody value containing a javascript: link, stores it, and renders the link on the template read page without neutralization. A valid session and a user's click on the stored link are required; successful exploitation runs script in that browser context.
