Reflected XSS via request URI sharing URL
Published Dec 30, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in the Bees Blog module for thirty bees before 1.6.2 allows remote attackers to run script in a visitor's browser. The post controller builds sharing_url from the request URI and passes it into Media::addJsDef, allowing attacker-controlled URL content into the generated script. Exploitation requires a visitor to open a crafted blog-post URL, after which script executes in that visitor's browser context.
