Affiliate status changes via nonce-free AJAX actions
Published Jan 5, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in wp.insider Affiliates Manager 2.9.31 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter affiliate statuses. Multiple administrative AJAX functions accept state-changing requests without correct WordPress nonce validation, enabling approval, decline, blocking, and other status changes. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to click a crafted link; the bounded consequence is unauthorized modification of affiliate application and account states.
