Subscriber-level file deletion via unchecked path input
Published Oct 19, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in QuantumCloud WPBot 4.8.9 and earlier and 4.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The qcld_openai_delete_training_file handler accepts a posted file path, changes its permissions, and deletes it without restricting it to the training-file directory. Subscriber access reaches the AJAX action; deleting wp-config.php can trigger site reinstallation and enable takeover of the site or a shared hosting account.
