Local file inclusion via unvalidated ColorPicker values
Published Dec 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Local file inclusion in Winter CMS before 1.2.4 allows remote authenticated users to include local files through crafted ColorPicker values. The Backend ColorPicker FormWidget saves attacker-controlled values without validation, and LESS compilation interprets embedded template syntax. Access to a backend form that both includes the widget and feeds its value into LESS is required; default Brand Settings and Mail Brand Settings forms meet that gate.
