Stored script execution via cron-job user field
Published Jan 25, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025
Stored XSS in Webmin 2.105 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in another administrator's browser. The Scheduled Cron Jobs form stores the unneutralized “Execute cron job as” value and renders it as active markup when the job is viewed. Administrative access is required to create the cron job, and another user must view the saved entry; successful exploitation acts within that user's Webmin session.
