Unrestricted file upload in Studio 42 Ltd. elFinder 2.1.62 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted .php8 file. The LocalFileSystem driver's staticMimeMap omits .php8, so the upload path accepts PHP source under a suffix that some Apache/PHP handlers execute. Exploitation requires a writable connector and a web-server handler that treats .php8 as PHP, after which code runs as the web-server account.
