CVE-2023-52042Public exploit

Unauthenticated command execution via language-setting injection

Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024

Command injection in TOTOLINK X6000R Firmware 9.4.0cu.852_B20230719 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The setLanguageCfg handler passes the lang parameter to Uci_Set_Str, which concatenates it with snprintf before CsteSystem executes the result. An unauthenticated request from the router's network reaches the management endpoint, granting command execution in the firmware context.
