Unauthenticated memory corruption via unchecked IPTV VLAN
Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 3, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1803 firmware 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted IPTV VLAN value. The formSetIptv handler processes the iptv.city.vlan parameter without enforcing the destination stack buffer bounds. The attack requires neither authentication nor user interaction and exposes the router to process crashes and control-flow corruption.
