Memory corruption via unchecked IPTV parameter
Published Jan 10, 2024 · Updated Jun 6, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AX1803 1.0.0.1 allows remote attackers to overwrite stack memory through an IPTV setting. The formSetIptv handler processes the adv.iptv.stballvlans parameter without adequate bounds enforcement, causing an out-of-bounds write to a stack buffer. Network access requires no authentication or user interaction, but public evidence does not establish whether the corruption yields code execution or a repeatable service crash.
