Authenticated code execution via unchecked file upload
Published Sep 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Gym Management System Project 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a profile image. The profile/i.php form sends the file parameter to upload.php, which accepts a book-image upload without validating its contents, extension, or media type. An authenticated account is required; a successful upload places executable content under the web-accessible upload path and runs it on the hosting server.
