Information disclosure via hard-coded cryptographic key
Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025
Hard-coded cryptographic key use in DoraCMS 2.1.8 allows remote attackers to disclose information through predictable encryption. The admin-group utility at backstage/adminGroup/src/utils/crypto.js embeds a fixed key at line 12 instead of obtaining a deployment-specific secret. No authentication or user interaction is required, but public sources do not identify the encrypted data or demonstrate broader write or service-interruption impact.
