CVE-2023-51837Network attack vector

Traffic interception via disabled certificate verification

Published Jan 30, 2024 · Updated May 29, 2025

Improper certificate validation in Ylianst MeshCentral 1.1.16 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept protected network traffic. Network clients in mpsserver.js, swarmserver.js, amt-redir-duk.js, and RDP layer code set rejectUnauthorized to false, bypassing server-certificate checks. Man-in-the-middle attackers positioned on the relevant network path can impersonate the contacted service and read or alter data carried by the affected TLS connection.
