Unsafe JSON deserialization in affected Illumio Core PCE releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The network_traffic API endpoint deserializes attacker-controlled JSON without restricting object construction, enabling execution as the PCE operating-system user. Exploitation requires API authentication and SAML to be enabled; successful exploitation compromises the PCE process context.
