CVE-2023-51820Public exploit

Physical root code execution via unsigned factory-test script

Published Feb 2, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025

Code injection in Blurams Lumi Security Camera A31C 2.3.38.12558 allows physically proximate attackers to execute code as root from an SD card. The boot-time factory-test path verifies an HMAC only for auth.ini and then executes the adjacent factorytest/exploit.sh without integrity verification. Physical access to insert an SD card and reboot the camera is required; successful exploitation can create a UID 0 account and start Telnet.
