Sensitive data disclosure via Users search SQL injection
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
SQL injection in StackIdeas EasyDiscuss 5.0.5 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data through the Users module search parameter. The public proof of concept shows the Users endpoint passes the search value into a database query, allowing quote-based errors and time-delay payloads to alter query execution. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exploitation exposes database information without reported modification or service interruption.
