CVE-2023-51761

Unauthenticated admin access via authorization bypass

Published Feb 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 10, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Emerson Rosemount 370XA, 700XA, and 1500XA firmware through 4.1.5 allows remote attackers to gain admin access. Emerson and CISA disclose that the network authentication boundary grants administrative capabilities without authentication, but neither source identifies the affected endpoint, request field, or code path. Exploitation requires network reachability to the appliance and gives control over administrative functions, with resulting confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
