Physical kiosk escape via Edge file download
Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Security restriction bypass in Scalefusion 10.5.2 allows physically proximate attackers to access downloaded files outside Edge. In an agent-only Windows kiosk profile without modern management, an Edge file download exposes File Explorer rather than keeping the user confined to the browser. Physical access to that non-default kiosk configuration is required, and Scalefusion disputes exposure under its default website allow-listing rules.
